For those of you using LCD screens with ClearType from MS installed, do you find it causing graphical glitches in games?

I am agreement with Kitty.  The only thing I can see that the clear type does is change the color and depth of fonts.  Fonts has it's  own graphical display algorithm.  Clear Type only "tunes" it by your selecting what looks best.

I think those of us that use FRAPs and those that use both FRAPs and TSO may find issues.  Both programs hijack the OpenGL or DirectX to display or record.   Running both may really cause a mess.  I can run both at teh same time, just make sure you have it set up correctly.
TSO has an alternate setting that can use a Back Door to load their display on the screen in game.  All BF2ers should use this setting as BF2 DirectX is locked by PunkBuster locally on your computer. So you may get kicked or just drop to desktop.
As for FRAPs, it should load when the computer starts.  Starting this manually may be an issue itself.  Here is what I have found.  Starting FRAPs manually rather than automatically causes the FRAPs program to miss the video hook on load.  What I am thinking that when windows starts, it loads absolutely everything it is going to need.  DLL's are all assigned, Registries are all confirmed and loaded.  FRAPS was not included in the original start up so it did not fall in to place such as joining the video hook or more to the point, it may work but not like it should.  Since it did not load on start up, it did not get a chance to properly fall in to place with the rest of the DLL's and such.  Kind of like having all the dominoes lined up but an extra one is now needing to be added.  But where?  FRAPs and/or the porgram that will host FRAPs may not be able to get through to Windows that it needs to function. 
Make sure that FRAPs loads with windows.  TSO needs to use the Alternate setting. 

One last thing.  Games are so enormous today, not only does the graphics drivers need to be updated regualrly but most all forget about audio.  Todays games are not only graphically intense, they have very good audio enhansments.  Not updating the audio has some games producing erros with no reason as to why. 
While I am on the Audio thing here, make sure that your audio IRQ is not clashing with another hardware item for the same  IRQ.  This is not uncommon today, specially with new inovations such as USB sound devices, add on sound devices and the old onboard audio clashing with an add on.  Make sure you use one or the othere and BIOS has the onboard audio shut off if you have installe a audio card or USB audio.
