I've been having some sound issues in BF2, so I decided to do a driver update this morning for my Audigy 2 ZS.  It went bad and I had a hell of a time getting it straightened out.  I ended up doing a complete wipe of anything Creative, drivers, software, etc.  Reinstalled and it's fine except for one thing.  In the volume control, under the play control - advanced, I get no sound at all with the "1 digital output only" box checked.  I'm pretty sure before all this, that box was checked.  I can definitely tell a difference with it unchecked, sounds like analog sound and is slightly muffled, less powerful.

What speakers are you running? 5.1, 6.2 ?  If they are not digital, uncheck the digital check box.

I'm not entirely sure that's the problem, it just sounds less rich, muffled, less depth.

I made some progreess on it, changed it from the headphones profile to the 2/2.1 profile.  Sounds better.

Now you know you have a analog jack and digtal output jacks on that card right?
Heres' another tip.. analog speakers, Head phones have 2 stripes or black bands on the plug
digatal plugs have only 1. basicly all that CK box does is turn off all analog output well thats been my experence with the digatal cards that ive had.
Hope this helps.

Thats because U don't have digital Headphones and they are different the Digital jack won't work on analog headphones. Believe me I have tried. If u enable the digital i believe it disables the analog.
