Looked at a 64 platform, and a dual processor system, but didn't spend the money 'cause I don't have anything that takes that much power to run.

Kitty, whats the scoop on that dual core? Is that the evuivalant to the P4 Hyper Threading? Or is that actually 2 CPU's and you need a mobo with two CPU slots?

Watch this animation TK, it explains the differences about halfway through it. Scroll down to related links, and click on the one starting with "demo". http://www.intel.com/products/processor/pentium_D/index.htmYes I know its an Intel link, only one I could find.

I kinda thought that. Are those board specific? What I mean is dose the board have to accommodate a dual P or AMD or does the Dual core CPU accomadate most boards?

It has to be supported by the board. The socket doesn't change, for example a AMD X2 may fit into a board designed previous to the release of dual core CPU's, but it won't work. Most new boards support both single and dual core.

Yea the dual core is good I run 64 bit windows which has limited drivers. 64 bit will be much better when Vista Hits.
the dual core means that there are 2 processor cores on one chip. I know U will like the AMD TK just give it a try. Not much difference at all in the AMD X2's and the New
