Some of us know these things some don't so i believe we should understand this so we may more understand our bibles.

The first 5 books of the bible are referred to as the LAW.

Joshua thru Job are referred to as History.

Esther thru Song of Solomon are referred to as POETRY

Isaiah thru Daniel are referred to as the MAJOR PROPHETS.

Hosea thru Malachi are referred to as the MINOR PROPHETS.


Now the New Testament.

Matthew thru John are referred to as the Gospels

Acts is referred to as History

Romans thru Hebrews are referred to as the PAULINE EPISTLES

James thru Jude are referred to as GENERAL EPISTLES

Revelation is referred to a PROPHECY.
