I thought this was interesting.  I can't put the letter directly here, it's in some kind of PDF looking format.  But go to this link and look for "Click here to view the full version of the letter".

Thanks Smooth!  That letter is a perfect example of what is going on right now in the religious world.  It says in the latter part of that letter that they believe in the same God.  I don't think that they do.  This is why that it is so very important to know Who God is.

As Christians we know that God is Jesus.  They do not.  What they are attemting here is sneaking in Interfaithism.  It is a subject that I have taught on previously.

We know that Jesus is Lord and all power is His.

Isn't that what the world hates about us Believers so much? Is that we believe in an exclusive God.  I recently wrote a person that said that it's all the same God, just with different personalities.  To make a point I asked him if you believe that then why are you not a Christian?  In Christianity Grace is a Gift not earned.

In almost all the other religions you supposedly earn your way to paradise.  These are contrived religions based on works.  Many people think that all religion came from superstition. That is true of these "works" religions.  These are false religions ordained by Satan himself to draw us away for the Truth.

The price paid for our sins was paid for with Jesus' blood.   No amount of giving and works we do can equal the value of that sacrifice.  All the universe can not be exchanged for it.  It doesn't mean we can go do what we want, for part of our receiving that Grace is repentance.

Its a humbling thing.  Why are people so arrogant that they think they can earn that?  They want the control..they want to be able to say "they did it".  That is pride and arrogance.  Thats why people are blind to the truth.  If it is a gift then they need to humbly accept it and that they have nothing to give in return but love.  Cant give yourself, Jesus already owns that.

Post modernism and humanism pushes the individual. "What's right for me is right for me"  They have no absolute truths.  It makes it easy to say its all the same god.  They think they are so advanced in their thinking but they are doing what has been done since the dawn of time, making God in their own image.  Look at Jesus relationship with the Scribes Pharisees and the church leaders.  They had fallen in to e trap of works. They taught that all the ritual was the thing that God wanted.  But they lacked Love.  They lacked the two part Covenant, yes ritual but more than that,  relationship and love.

Jesus wants a relationship with us.  Yes he is God and Lord of all but he originally designed us for companionship.

Jesus values us and loves us and we need to return that love.  He asks us to accept that Sacrifice and love Him and other people.  He doesn't force us but give us the will so it Will be a true agape.
