Introduction:

The Statue of Liberty has become the most cherished symbol of the United States of America. What we were NOT taught in school were the truly significant facts regarding the true nature of the Statue. Those pertinent facts that remain largely unknown revolve around the true history of the Statue's inception as well as the meaning and significance behind the statue.

Roman goddess Libertas:

Libertas was the name of an ancient Roman goddess adopted by the Romans perhaps as early as the 5th century BC and certainly by the 4th Century BC. She was referred to as the goddess of personal freedom and liberty. In fact Libertas meant freedom. So liberty means freedom. The 2 names describe the one concept we call freedom. Liberty = Freedom and Freedom = Liberty. This goddess was the goddess of freedom because she promoted the ideals for the personal freedom to do anything that felt good. She was called the matron goddess of prostitution because she promoted sexual freedom. Indeed, she had invented the concept. Slaves considered her their goddess in the hopes of winning their freedom. Many women who gained freedom later turned to prostitution to survive and thereby retained Libertas as their goddess, especially if they became priestesses in the Libertas cult. Libertas was also a goddess of war in order to fight for freedom. She was also referred at times as the goddess of victory because freedom must have victory in order to survive. This goddess was also the goddess of immigrants. The whole idea of immigration connoted the idea of freedom. Her popularity was also unique because of her unique doctrine of hearing personal prayers. This unique doctrine was something that most of the pagan deity doctrines were not disposed towards.

We know that this goddess existed because of the records left behind to us. We have the ancient writings of Cicero who writes of this goddess and her Temple on the Aventine Way in Rome. She was depicted on some Roman coins as wearing a freedom cap and having a wreath along with a spear or sometimes a sword. Such coin images were not the only depictions. Sometimes she was well robed and at other times seductively unclothed in both sculptures and paintings. We know of Libertas being referred to as the Mother of Harlots by the famous Roman historian (and senator) Cicero's writings. Cicero indicates that she was also a very early goddess of the Greeks even before early Roman civilization developed.

Ishtar in the most ancient of times was also referred to by the Sumerian dialect as Inanna or Ninanna meaning the Queen of Heaven or Lady of Heaven. In Canaan this deity was called Ashtaroth. The Hittites called her Shaushka. The Phoenicians on Cypress initially referred to her as Astarte. Isis was the name the Egyptians gave to her. This is how the goddess became introduced to the earliest Greeks. We know this transformation in part due to the written texts found by archaeologists plus from studying the character traits and descriptions. For instance all these deities were actually just one goddess and she was associated with the planet Venus. Most had phonetic language roots in the transliterating aspects of the name Ishtar and this remained so until the Greeks changed the name to Aphrodite. Later the Romans referred to her in the Latin, initially as Libertas and later as Venus when they accepted more than just the Liberty doctrines.

ISHTAR: Goddess of Liberty and Personal Freedom

Ishtar was introduced to the Greeks as Astarte through the Phoenicians. We can see that the lineage of the Greek and Roman goddess of the planet Venus goes all the way back to ancient Babylon of around 3,000 BC. Apparently the Greeks (and later the Romans) chose to initially honor only one portion of Ishtar's character and doctrines that appealed to them in those very early years before they established empires. Ishtar's doctrine of personal freedom was what really impressed both the Greeks and the Romans. They therefore chose to worship just that aspect of her character. As time passed, the succeeding generations of Greeks found the other Ishtar doctrines to be appealing and incorporated her into their pantheon of deities as Astarte or Aphrodite. Later still, the Romans did the same and referred to her as Venus.

It seems that the allure of Ishtar was her doctrine of holy sex or salvation by holy sexual relations with a temple priestess or priest as a means of purification and holiness. Of course, this entailed paying the priestess or priest and thus it was officially sanctioned and therefore "holy" prostitution. Ishtar introduced that whole concept to the human race. This is why she was referred to as the Mother of Harlots. Harlots had been deemed to be social outcasts so she was also referred to as the Mother of exiles. This was later equated with the idea of immigration. Naturally then Ishtar (a.k.a.-- Libertas) was known as the Mother of Harlots, the Mother of Exiles and the Mother of immigrants throughout not only Babylon and Babylonia but also later Assyria, Egypt, Greece and Rome.

What was Ishtar's legacy in Babylon? She was the chief goddess of Babylon and all of Babylonia. There was no other goddess more honored than she. She was equated to have nearly the same power as the chief god of Babylon, the sun god



Ishtar was also known as the goddess of war because she fights for freedom and liberty. She was also known as the goddess of victory because there is no freedom without victory. She was also known as the goddess of love because of her sexuality and her promotion of all types of sexual perversion in the name of freedom. Her motto was "if it feels good, do it." Didn't we hear that same idea as a theme song during the 1960s? She was also the goddess of the planet Venus. She was a goddess who "flew among the stars" and so therefore was called the Queen of Heaven or Lady of Heaven.

Now this ritual between Ishtar and the king or king candidate is what the Biblical prophecies are referring to when it talks about the Harlot having relations with the "kings of the earth." In other words, in the prophecies, it is referring to Ishtar approving the rule of the kings because they have pleased her and did as she commanded. See Revelation 17:1-2, 4-5 and also 18: 3, 9 and 19:2. See also: Isaiah 47:1-15; Jeremiah 51:7. It also means that the relationship is a two-way street. Ishtar gives to the kings the necessities to maintain authority and control. In return, the kings of course swear allegiance to Ishtar and provide sacrifices for her. Revelation provides a symbolic similarity between the ancient historical aspect and a future relationship between a future Babylon and the rest of the nations. Super-power Babylon acts just like an Ishtar and engages in prostitution with the rest of the nations.

Connecting Ishtar to the Statue of Liberty:

The Statue of Liberty was a Masonic concept conceived from within Freemasonry. The chief promoter and fundraiser for the project was Edward Laboulaye and he collaborated with the sculptor Frederic Bartholdi to develop a statue of Masonic enlightenment. The statue was developed from within the highest doctrines of Freemasonry. This "enlightenment" took its form in various symbols found in the sculpture itself.

#1. The Crown of 7 Spikes: This symbol was to represent the enlightenment of the Babylonian sun god Shamesh/Utu. The idea was that this sun god's occultic illumination could be focused by each of the 7 spikes of the crown. Each spike would flash this occultic enlightenment to each of the 7 "horas" or large landmasses of the world. In other words, the each spike would flash occultic enlightenment to a continent on planet earth. Each of the 7 spikes would then be representative of one of the 7 large landmasses or continents of the world.

#2. The Tablets: A common misconception is that the tablets represent the 10 Commandments that God gave to Moses. This is not true. The tablets are engraved only with the Roman numerals standing for July 4th, 1776. According to the preeminent Statue Historian, Marvin Trachtenberg in his book "The Statue of Liberty" the tablets represented a generic notion of the concept of law. This should not be confused with the Laws of Moses. Freemasonry gives lip service to Judaism, Christianity and Islam as law-giving religions but Freemasonry tries to synthesize all religions into one central focus?the idea of "law" in general. Hence the tablets being held by the Statue of Liberty carry that general meaning.


#3. The Torch: This item was originally designed to be a golden cup filled with the wine of freedom. This golden cup remained in the planning and was actually made. However, before completion and shipping of the entire statue, the New York Port authorities asked if there could be some sort of modification to allow for an eternal flame or light to be designed into the statue so that ships could use her as a night time navigational aid. Bartholdi consented to make modifications to the basic cup design to allow for a natural gas flame to be utilized. The torch we see today is actually the same type of cup design used in ancient times for drinking wine. It featured a handle for the cup at the bottom and the handle looked much like a stick. The golden aspect itself was altered again to conform to the needs of the natural gas flame. The actual, original golden cup was later sold by the project to the Czar of Russia, Czar Nicholas. In 1917 during the Russian revolution the Communist government took possession of it. The cup has remained in Russian hands but in 1997 was reportedly offered for sale by the Russian government to help pay off Russia's foreign debts. This author has not been able to determine whether or not the cup was actually sold or not. It is only known that the cup is still in existence.

#4. "Mother of Exiles" is a key term in the poem by Emma Lazarus. In her famous poem about the statue, (now etched into the base of the statue) Lazarus refers to the woman as "The Mother of Exiles". The poem has forever indelibly linked the statue to immigrants from around the world. The statue is the patron "saint" of immigrants everywhere. Oddly enough, the Babylonian goddess Ishtar was also the patron goddess of immigrants in Babylon because as a goddess of personal freedom, she brought hope to immigrants seeking to make a better life for themselves in Babylon. So too for this "Mother of Exiles". In fact, if we try to transliterate the English term "Mother of Exiles" into the Greek? Mother as a word has similar phonetic sounds. Doing the same with "exiles" from English into Koine-Greek, the Koine-Greek listener would link it to a similar Greek word that connoted deep inhalation of air or "heavy breathing." This is tied into the Greek word "epithumia" which in English is normally translated as "lust" but the literal meaning in Koine-Greek meant literally "heavy breathing" and was connoted with desire. Now this terminology is then linked to the word "Porneoh" from which we get the word Pornography. Porneoh=lust fulfillment by sexual relations in exchange for money?which again was the main claim to fame for Ishtar? holy sexual prostitution. Ishtar worship is the very first instance of prostitution in human history and it was deemed "holy!" Now, this may indeed just be an interesting coincidence but remember Revelation 17:5 where the woman called Mystery Babylon is referred to as the "Mother of Harlots."

Scriptural traits of the woman of Revelation chapter 17:4.

The woman is described in Revelation 17:4 as having a golden cup in her hand. This fits in with the Statue of Liberty, who has indeed a golden cup in her outstretched hand. (See the Statue of Liberty Website Link to see a picture of the original golden globe flame, which replaced the original cup when NYC authorities asked to modify the cup to a light source for shipping. The original golden cup was then sold to the Czar of Russia, where it remains today.
 
The crown of 7 spikes is also being described in Revelation 17:9. Here we see the woman referred to as sitting on 7 "horas". This is the same word that the mystical religion of Freemasonry doctrines uses from the Greek mystics who kept the doctrine alive from Ishtar worship. The idea of the enlightenment of the sun god Shamesh-Utu?or Rah in the Egyptian language was that it would be shined to all of the 7 "horas" or continents of the world. These Greek mystics used that Greek term "horas". Marvin Trachtenberg in his book on the Statue of Liberty

Now, the KJV and the NASB English versions translate "horas" as meaning "mountain." Mountain is indeed the normal meaning of the word in Greek. But the Greeks general and overall root word basis was "large land mass" for which mountain usually fit the definition. Unfortunately some new translations miss this point entirely and have translated the word "horas" as meaning hill. This comes from the erroneous assumption that the verse is referring to the 7 hills of Rome and that the woman is Rome. This is a wrong assumption. Moulton & Milligan's Greek Vocabulary cites that the correct word for "hill" in Koine-Greek (and in other Greek dialects) was the Roman word "bounos" and this was always the word that was to be used when referring to the 7 hills of Rome. After all, this was the Greek word that was borrowed from the Romans. Everyone referred to Rome's 7 hills as "bounos" ?and not "horas". Therefore, the assumption that Revelation 17:9 refers to the 7 hills of Rome is complete error. The verse then must be referring to the continents where the Woman's enlightenment rays are flashed from her 7 spikes in her crown.

Now some skeptics will point out that no crown is mentioned in Revelation 17:4. However, Revelation 18:7 calls her Queen and what do all Queens wear to prove their position as a Queen? A crown. This is also substantiated by Isaiah 47: 1-9? where in the KJV she is referred to as a Lady?but in the original Hebrew the word designates female royalty as either Queen or Princess. So here again we have a connection between the woman and another scriptural passage that is very subtle in its attempt to signal to us the identity of this woman. It is a signal that couldn't have been known nor comprehended for 1800 years. ?

The Statue of Liberty -- The Largest Idol Ever Made By Human Hands.

We can recognize the match-up between the Woman of Revelation 17:4-5 and America when we realize that the Statue of Liberty is actually the goddess Ishtar of Babylon?the mystery goddess of Babylon who was the goddess of personal freedom and liberty. Ishtar was called the goddess of love and sexual freedom, the Queen of Heaven and the Queen of Babylon. Most importantly, Ishtar was called The Mother of Immigrants, AND she was called THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES? Then of course, if we throw in the facts that we know about the Babylonian symbolism of the Statue and relate it back to Revelation 17:4, 9? we then have the link between the Statue of Liberty and Revelation 17 and 18.

Understanding the phrase "Mother of Harlots."

Let's examine what the term "mother" means. The term refers to the act of giving

Birth or of bearing to fruition of something in its most generic form. In this case, the reference is obvious in that the woman is bearing forth or starting something. In regards to apocalyptic symbolism the connotation is that of a "starting point."

Conclusions:

The are just too many coincidences when we compare the characteristics in the scriptures relating to the woman called "Mystery Babylon -- "Mother of Harlots" with that of Ishtar of Babylon and the Statue of Liberty and the Statue of Freedom. What we conclude:

The Statue of Liberty is the woman being described in Revelation 17/18 and especially 17:4-5, 9 and 18:7 along with Isaiah 47:1-15. We say this because we know that the Statue of Liberty is actually the artist/sculpture's vision of Ishtar, the goddess of Babylon!!! This makes the Statue of Liberty the largest
Idol ever made by human hands.

Other Idols of the US Capitol building:

There are numerous statues and paintings of some of the classical gods of Greece and Rome. One thing government tourism booklets don't tell you is that these deities were borrowed ?from Babylon herself.

Here is a picture of the god "Mars" which the Babylonians/Sumerians referred to as Mardok/Marduk/ and or Baal/Bel. Baal is the infamous name which the Old Testament prophets were constantly battling to keep the Israelites from worshipping after the glory days of Solomon. So, here again is another large idol located where our lawmakers meet.

Keep in mind that the Greeks borrowed their "Mars" from the Babylonian deity "Baal" a.k.a. Bel or Marduk/ Mardok/Merodach.? Yes, this is the same deity that the Old Testament prophets fought against in the generations after David and Solomon.

There are other lesser known deity statues and paintings in and on or around the US Capitol building. Search the US Library of Congress website for various statues of the Capitol building. You'll find statues of "Athena, Minerva" and many

more. You'll also see numerous paintings in the earliest years referring to the Capitol as the "Temple of Justice."

America has defeated the lands of ancient Babylon known as Iraq.  This makes America the latest world power to conquer "Babylon" and from a prophetical standpoint, America holds title to Babylon and thus America inherits the "Mystery Babylon" title. But that's only the tip of the "Mystery Babylon" iceberg that includes DOZENS of other PROOFS from the scriptures that all points to and proves that America is the only answer as to who or what is Mystery Babylon.

The Third Most Significant Prophetic Event Since 70 A.D. Occurred In 2003

The third most significant prophetic event to unfold since 70 A.D. occurred in the Spring of 2003 but Amer- ica's most prominent Evangelical Bible Prophecy "experts" have failed to recognize what has just happened! Yes, the most well-known Bible Prophecy "experts" in America such as Hal Lindsey, Tim LaHaye, Grant Jeffrey and many other TV ministers have failed to grasp the reality of what has transpired this past spring, 2003. What are we talking about?

 

We're talking about the official emergence and title-holding claim to ruler-ship of ancient Babylon by America as a result of its invasion of Iraq. Today, the United States of America "owns" the land of ancient Babylon in terms of practical, actual, literal control. America gained this distinction by literally conquering with its military (the army, navy and air forces) "the land between two rivers" which today we call the nation of Iraq. The reality is that there is no real nation of Iraq today. Instead, that land is ruled by a government based in the North American city of Washington, D.C. and by monetary and media powers based in New York City.

 

As we've clearly demonstrated in the 2-volume work: "America, The Babylon" the United States has met all the identifying criteria found in the written prophecies of Revelation, Jeremiah and Isaiah as well as Zechariah 5. Until now, none of America's most well-known Bible Prophecy "experts" has publicly admitted that the Unit- ed States is Mystery Babylon. Such will likely remain the case for at least the foreseeable future.

 

It's hard for us at times to realize how anyone could miss the significance of what has just transpired this year. Now you may ask: "What did transpire this year?" To that question we can categorically state that the third most significant Biblical prophecy event came to fulfillment with the conquering of the land of ancient Babylon by the United States of America. True, America's "mother-nation," Great Britain helped America subdue Iraq. That then makes Great Britain the "mother" of the "Mother of Harlots" as related in Jeremiah 50:12 -- "Your mother shall be greatly confounded"?she that bore you shall be ashamed?"

 

If you have been paying any attention at all to recent news items this summer you will remember the firestorm of controversy that has arisen regarding the intelligence reports from Britain's MI6 and America's CIA regard- ing Iraq's attempts to acquire plutonium materials from the African nation of Niger. A real and growing rift is developing between the US and UK spy agencies over who knew and did what regarding such reports. In effect, already, Britain, particular its population is becoming ashamed of its association with America's war against Iraq. In fact, there was substantial anti-war sentiment inside Britain before, during and even currently. Of course, this rift points to yet another reason why the USA is the future Babylon of Biblical prophetic judg- ment, but to stop at that point is to miss the bigger picture in the equation.

 

The truly and tremendously significant aspect of these developments from a Bible Prophecy standpoint is that America conquered Babylon. As such, that makes America the "title-holder" and deed-owner of ancient Bab- ylon in the sense of an historical and Biblical interpretation perspective. We know that such a claim flies in the face of numerous other prophecy "experts" who claim that the GulfWar2 outcome means that someday Iraq will become the Mystery Babylon, full of exquisite and exotic luxury. That is too bad.

 

The facts are these: Persia conquered Babylon. Greece conquered Babylon. Rome conquered Babylon. Any of those three nations could have become mystery Babylon had the timing been right, but alas, none of those nations conquered Babylon "in the latter days" or "at the time of the banner of Messiah."

Thus, those ancient empires could not become the Mystery Babylon of prophecy. Today, we are in the "latter days" because we know Israel has been reborn as a nation and now controls Jerusalem. Today, America stands as conqueror of Iraq (i.e. Babylon) and thus inherits the 7-spiked Crown of the Goddess Ishtar also called the "Mother of Harlots" by her worshippers.

 

Keep in mind also that once each of those nations conquered Babylon those nations did absorb and accept the chief Babylonian goddess Ishtar (and her "mystery doctrines") as a key deity in their pantheon of religions. Those nations however never made her their central focus nor made her into their national religion in her title as "Goddess of Liberty/Freedom."

 

America, on the other hand, has mysteriously embraced Ishtar in so many subtle and not-so-subtle ways. For instance, the Statue of Liberty is an artistic rendering of Ishtar, although the Freemason sculptor referred to her by her Roman name of Libertas, the goddess of Liberty. So too for the statue atop the US Capitol and many state capitols also. She also appears on official coinage and seals of the USA. That's just for starters as to the use of her image.

 

There's also the worship in America of her doctrines regarding "liberty" and "freedom" by Americans. But we digress into an entirely new and emerging character trait of Mystery Babylon that is better left for another article.

 

So we've commented about this prophetic fulfillment but what are the top 3 fulfillments to date since the de- struction of Jerusalem in 70 a.d.?

 

#1. Israel reborn in 1948.

#2. Israel regaining ALL of Jerusalem in 1967.

 

And now our third most significant event (from an eschatological perspective):

 

#3. The rise of and the crowning of "Mystery Babylon.

 

We could take this story clear back to the beginning, back to 1776 when America was founded upon the doctrines of Freemasonry, Illuminism and the mystery Doctrines of Ishtar. From the very beginning, Ishtar's occult doctrines were being injected into the foundations of a new nation. It began with the selection of July 4th, 1776 as a key occultic day which also on the Jewish calender was tied to the Feast of Tammuz, a key date in Ishtar's occultic worship practices. We could also elect to focus the story's start on the beginning work on the US Capitol building and the masonic ceremony laying the foundation stone by George Washington (a grandmaster mason) in a completely occultic masonic ceremony.

 

Of course, we could develop a long story about the Capitol's design being a replica of the Roman Pagan Temple called "The Pantheon" -- which itself was a copy by the Romans of the original version built in Bab- ylon. The "Pantheon" was an ecumenical temple, dedicated to all the gods of Babylon. The US Capitol building then, is a duplicate the most significant and ecumenical pagan temple of all time. It just also happens to be the building where America's laws are made. Is that merely ironic or mysterious intentional design?

 

We could choose to shift the focus to that statue atop the Capitol Dome which is a representation of the Goddess Ishtar. Today we call her the "goddess of Freedom" or "Liberty". We could also begin our focus upon the statue of Baal (a.k.a. Mars) that guards the entrance to the Capitol building. We could also instead focus our beginning search for Babylonianism in America on the pictures painted inside the dome of Amer- ica's 'gods' i.e. the "founding fathers and other 'artistic' deities. Perhaps instead our search for Babylonianism beginnings in America should begin with the White House (the second most popular temple in all of Babylon was called "The White House.") or the occultic layout of the streets of Washington, D.C. or of the various "temples" in the nation's capitol including the Temples of the Treasury, Justice, or even simply the Masonic Temple. Perhaps it would be best to focus on the Babylonian symbol we call The Washington Monument.

 

Some would however argue that we should pinpoint the birthing of Babylonianism in America to 1886 with the unveiling of the Statue of Liberty. Why? The sculptor-designer, a freemason named Bartholdi admitted pri- vately in writinig in his journal that the statue was his vision of the Goddess Libertas of Rome. You should understand that the Romans actually the borrowed deity Ishtar of Babylon - who was also called the goddess of Liberty/Freedom in Babylon because she was the matron goddess of slaves and immigrants seeking freedom and embraced her doctrines of liberty and called her the Goddess Libertas.

 

The little-known or understood aspect is that the goddess Libertas was in fact, the chief Goddess of Babylon, Ishtar, the Goddess of Liberty/Freedom. Ishtar chief goddess of Babylon also held the holy title of "Mother of Harlots" because she was the mother of harlots and harlotry ? which was a holy part of her salvation doc- trines.

 

Salvation came by sexual union with a temple priestess (harlot) and a monetary gift offering was made afterwards in gratitude to help underwrite the costs of maintaining the temple. A worshipper of Ishtar would have his/her sins washed away by engaging in ritual sexual union with the priestess. How could this be? Because during the sexual act, the Goddess herself inhabited and possessed the priestesses' body so that the act of sexual union made between the man (or woman) worshipper and the priestess or priest enabled the worshipper to become "one with" or "united with the goddess" and thus holy and sinless.

 

So the notion of America accepting as her symbol, the Statue of Liberty in 1886 might be seen by some as the beginning of America's Babylonianism. Still others would point to the Great Depression when the Babyl- onian occultic symbolism of the seeing 'eye' pyramid became a symbol on our paper money.

 

Of course, still others would say that America did NOT become Mystery Babylon until March-April of 2003 when America officially conquered the ancient land of Babylon while putting down the empire of Saddam Hussein in Baghdad. Those critics who would make this claim make a good point that is hard to argue against. There can be little doubt now as to who conquered Babylon and who is calling the "shots" in that land now and for the long-term future. Some opposing critics will say that America is only there temporarily and never "conquered" Iraq but is merely acting as a policeman to arrest a criminal and allow the Iraqi people to choose their own government.

 

Such a move actually underscores the very heart of the matter regarding Mystery Babylon. The Revelation chapter 17 passage is describing the very symbolism and religiosity of nation and it is referred to as being a "Mystery." Chapter 17 of Revelation shows that this "mystery" nation is symbolized as a woman and it is a "mystery" regarding the relationship of this symbolism between the nation, her people and this 'mystery woman' ? the chief goddess of Babylon known as Ishtar, the Mother of Harlots. Remember that among her numerous doctrines Ishtar's religion promotes the idea of freedom and liberty, no matter what the governmen- tal structure.


Some in the American church, in fact many are indeed genuinely "saved" Christians but misled by the American church leadership which has chosen not to recognize nor believe that America is or could possibly be the Mystery Babylon of Revelation 17 & 18. (as well as of Isaiah 13, 14, 18 & Jeremiah 50, 51). In some cases, I believe key American Bible Prophecy "experts" ( the ones making appearances on national American TV ) have deliberately rejected the America as Babylon concept because they fear a backlash that could financially destroy them.

 

Perhaps too, some might also shrink from facing up to the facts about America as Babylon because such a view could eventually lead to physical, emotional, and financial discrimination and persecution of Christians by non-Christian America. In this age of 9-11 anti-terrorism, and its war against fundamental beliefs, we will ultimately see the US government turn with a vengeance upon those with a Biblical-based and fundamental Christian values system anyway.


No matter what, the fact remains that the United States of America conquered and now is in military control of the lands once part of the Babylonian empire and the city of ancient Babylon. Essentially, that land we now call Iraq is/has become a colony of the United States in practice if not in name. This means that for all practical purposes (and indeed for Prophetic purposes) the military action that was the U.S. invasion of Iraq, and its resultant conquering of Iraq, prophetically cedes over the title-ownership of "Babylon" to America. Such a victory however changes the title and ownership of the ancient land of Babylon in subtle, unobtrusive, "mysterious" way, just as the term "mystery" in Revelation 17 implies.
 

So we now officially have America as T-H-E title-holder of Babylon and inheritor to the term and title of "Mystery Babylon." The event that we (at A-O) have termed "GulfWar2" becomes in our estimation the third most significant prophetic fulfillment or development in 1,933 years. GulfWar2 comes in as the third most significant prophetic development or fulfillment behind the number one even which we believe to be the rebirth of Israel in 1948 and the second event being the recapture of all of Jerusalem in June of 1967 in the Six Days War. To our way of thinking only those two events revolving around Israel have more prophetic significance than America being "self-crowned" as conquerors or liberators of Babylon.

Lets see if we can understand this.  First we must stay within the pages of the bible as the bible will interpret itself.  It is not that hard.  Again this is not directed as a shot at the Catholic doctrine, but to make sense of what the Lord Jesus is trying to tell us.  First of all the scripture that is in question here is Rev.17:1-6  John has been banished to the Isle of Patmos for preaching the Name of Jesus Christ to those who follow the old teachings of Moses and the Law.  The apostles were captured, tortured and put to death for preaching that Jesus Christ was God in the flesh.  They were killed for teaching that through Repentance, and getting baptized in the Name of Jesus, and being filled with the Spirit of Jesus, you can now be saved from Hell and be ressurected upon his return, whether you await in the grave or alive upon the earth at that time, you will be changed from mortal to immortality, and go up in the skies to meet Jesus as he watches his bride ( He being the bridegroom ) come to Him.  They and the followers of Jesus were boiled in oil, pulled apart, hanged, crucified upside down, etc. and John banished to an Island left to die.

The Catholic doctrine uses a different mode of salvation other than what Jesus, and the apostles taught.  In there doctrine, a trinity is mentioned, baptisms by sprinkling, pouring and immersion is acceptable, praying for the dead, mantras, chants, even abortions, confessions to a man, symbols, idols, statues, and the list goes on.  Baptisms are done using the Title of a Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  The honorable name of the Lord Jesus is not given the credit for his sacrifice on the cross.

Lets see if we can make sense of this Mystery and the Mother of Harlots.  Revelation 17: 1-6.  HERE IS HOW GOD VIEWS THIS RELIGION.

4] And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
[5] And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
[6] And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
[7] And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.

He says I am going to show you the judgment of the Great Whore!  We are living in a day where it seems, anything goes.  You believe what you want to believe and i wil believe what I want to believe.  That is a wrong path to take!  We must teach and preach what the dicsiples did and what Jesus did, and all of the Apostles did.  It is important that we do it right now!

WHY IS SHE CALLED MYSTERY BABYLON? and WHAT IS HER LOCATION?  The location is for the mind of the wise, although in todays knowledge it is a given thing.  There is only one place on the whole planet that is refered to as the City built on 7 hills.  It is also the most known religious city on 7 hills that has anything to do with scarlet and purple that has anything do do with the blood of the saints.  It of course is Rome, Italy.  Home of the Vatican, the Pope, Cardinals, Bishops and archbishops.
Lets continue on to see what Jesus showed to John in this vision, for us to understand.

What made Babylon what it was in the old testament?  You know the story of how the tower of Babel built in the city of Babylon went.  They said, Oh no, we are going to do it our way, And when they decided to do that, and disobey God,they said we had better build our own-plan of salvation. You see, this is just after the flood.  God promised that he would never destroy the earth by flooding it with water again, yet they didn't believe it.  They were supposed to scatter and replentish the earth with people again.  Did they?  No they did not.  Instead, they built a city and stayed.  They built the tower so they could climb to high ground and be saved in case of another flood.  They disbelieved God on every hand.  When God saw it, he confused their language and he scattered them.  The same spirit lives in false religion today.  IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS, WE WILL DO IT OUR WAY.  That is the spirit of Babylon.  In these last days, we can not let that spirit grip us.

Why did God use this language?  A Whore?  We don't even like to use it daily let alone in church!  A Whore!  A Harlot!  Why would he us this to symbolize a religion??  Once we understand it, it becomes crystal clear.  God always used woman, to symbolize a churh.  He used a virgin to symbolize His true church and a Harlot to symbolize a compromised church.  2 Corinthians 11:2 " For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ".  The virgin symbolizes the true church and the harlot a compromised church, or a false church.

Now notice on the forehead of this Whore, she has daughters.  She is a Mother of Harlots!  So, if the Mother Harlot is a false church, so then it stands to reason the daughters are standing for the false churches that came out of the Mother.  When Protestants broke away from the Roman Catholic Church, in the 16th century, they left many of the teachings behind.  However, we have lived long enough, that we are starting to see the Protestant church to go back again!  There are church denominations all over saying it is time to re-unite!  This is just fullfilling prophesy!  How incredible is this??!!  Before there was a Roman Catholic Church, before there were Protestants, before there was a Reformation of the Catholic Church, before the daughters had broken away from the Mother, GOD HAD ALREADY CATALOGUED THIS!  Why?  Because He wanted you and I to understand He reserved these prophesies for the endtime.  Drunk with the blood of the saints?  They killed millions people in an effort to get them to come back under the pain of death.  It did not work.  They were drunk on the blood of the saints!

You see in winding this down now, There is only one church in the world governed by a body that wears the colors scarlet and purple headed by one that wears a white crown.  The Catholic Church.  The doctrine of the Catholic Church has Changed the doctrine some much from the original Apostles Doctrine, that it is a mystery now to what ever it originated from.  The daughters are the churches who broke away from the catholics during the Reformation, but RETAINED the baptism of the trinity.  You will find this in the writing of the Council of Trent.

All nations have drunk of the wine of wrath of her fornications.  All nations have experienced or heard of Catholicism.  She undoubtedly is the most wealthy church on the planet.
[7] How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
[8] Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
[9] And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
[10] Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
[11] And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
[12] The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,
[13] And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.
[14] And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.
[15] The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
[16] And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
[17] For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
[18] And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
[19] And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.
[20] Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.

Sits as a Queen and am no widow!  EVERY QUEEN HAS A HUSBAND...A KING.  They never ever took on the name of there husband....Jesus!  They were never spiritually bonded or married to Jesus.  Only a Father, a Son and a Holy Spirit.  Her false doctrine will take the souls of many many people and the people will wonder what did we do wrong??  The end is quick for Rome.  We will not delight in its goods any longer.

AND ONE MORE IDENTIFYING SCRIPTURE TO ROME....16] And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
Here resides the Cardinals, Bishops and Archbishops, the ruling body of this false church.

In her was found the blood of the prophets, the saints, and all that were slain up on the earth.  This is not the great city of New York.
