Last Monday I suffered a MoBo chipset failure.  If you've never had one, let me tell you it is quite dramatic and very sudden.  Anyway I hd to rebuild with a new MoBo.  Got a used Asus K8VSE Deluxe and a 3200 AMD socket 754 from one of the WW's.  All ready had new memory and a PS sitting around, so off we went.

Well I'm back up on the net, still have a ton of software to load, including BF2.  All my email address were lost as well as most of my bookmarks.  So if you've missed seeing me around, that's why.

Intel??????  Whats that mean????  <shooter>

It was the damn VIA chipset that gave up after running overclocked and over voltaged for three years. The AMD processor is just fine thanks.  ;D

Chipset failing is really wierd if you've never experienced one.   Takes a bit to figure out what is really going on as the symptoms can be a bit confusing.
