anybody have someone they would recommend?  the space I have right now is with a friend who's a Microsoft junkie, so no Java, Perl, Python, etc...  needless to say, I basically just use it for static things, but want to use Servlets, JSP, etc, and learn how to use a MySQL backend...

I can probably hook you up with some space on my server... it's debian-based (ubuntu) w/ mysql, php, etc setup on it... just ask what you want installed and I will try to get that installed for you to use... send me a PM if you want an account and include a username you want to use...

gee, thanks for the offer...  it's probably going to be a few months before I'm ready to set it up, as I just downloaded Tomcat the other day and still haven't figured out MySQL (databases was my worst CS course in college), and it would probably end up being centered around photographs that I hope to be taking...  not sure if this would fit into what you're offering, but I'm touched nonetheless...

Out of three hosts I've used. Bluehost.com is the best and most customer oriented .

yeah, I saw you posted earlier about them and checked them out, but they didn't mention anything about Java EE, but I didn't investigate too long either...  once I get this up and rolling, I'll look harder...
