is there a program that tells you all your mobo specs , like what proc types and how high it can go and kinds of ram it can take.

I found Everest Home Edition (freeware) to be the best quite a while back, but they have since left the freeware market...

I haven't looked for anything like it recently.

SiSoftware Sandra is what I use for general system analysis, though I don't know if it would have the type of info you're looking for.  Best bet would be to look up your model number on the manufacturer website and find a spec sheet for it.

if U have an Nvidia chipset u can use Ntune from Nvidia  its free, it will also let U do some decent over clocking

Go to Start - Run - type dxdiag. This will give you most all you need.  System info, Display device info and test your system.  It is a Windows feature of Direct X.
