OK SP3 gone, it reverted back to SP2 + updates I installed after SP2.  USB hard drive issue is fixed, teamspeak overlay working again.  My burner software still won't install, says it's incompatable with this version of windows, I'll find something else.  The printer is really getting frustrating.  It is giving me the same problem it was giving me under SP3.  During the install process it asks me to power it up, I do, then it hangs while trying to put the drivers in.

just went threw this with a laserjet 3330 i had to use the 3200 drivers. and a canon image class d660. try using the driver from the model under yours printer smoothy..if it doesn't work it wont hurt a thing. HP for lack of a better word sucks when it comes to lower end prints. oh almost forgot.. are you using the driver that came with the printer? IE: the CD? if not and you using a down load from HP redown load it, it might be crouped.

I've tried it from the cd and from the download.  I can get the software to install fine, it just won't put the drivers in.  When it tells you to power it up, it hangs at 7/8.

OK the barebone driver installer went in fine.  The software must have been the problem.  Well that one's fixed, on to the next thing!

1. download Ubuntu 8.04  .iso
2. make a Ubuntu cd/dvd
3. install Ubuntu
4. install "wine"
5. install COD4 or any other game and windows app under "wine"
6. install teamspeak for linux
7. enjoy stability, no viruses, no updates,  and no BSOD's
