im trying to upgrade to a 6000+ or 6400+ am2 series and im not sure if this will all work together or if its any good at all. im trying to stay in the 300.00 or 350 range for all this. any sugestions will be great.

Well right away I see that the motherboard is a Crossfire board, the ATI equivilent of Nvidia's SLI.  So unless you're getting an ATI card, I would steer clear of that.  I have that same hard drive in my system Seagate Sata2 160gb, that might be a newer revision of it, but it looks like the same one I have.  Upon looking further, I have the 7200.9, the one you linked looks like a specialized version of the 7200.10 which is this:
