Need some strength

Not sure Im allowed to post in here as Im not a Meow member but its a place I often visit.

Many of you prob dont know me.. but a few old df2 players may have come across me and the guild wars players know me well.

Anyhows... am needing a lorry load of strength at min as Ive just been told that my hubby Jon (Jetreaction TAG) has lost his battle with a brain tumour, he has beaten it back twice but the darn thing has come back again. We know there isnt anymore treatment Jon can have so its only a matter of time. We have told our sons age 13 and 9 that Dad's ill and cant be made better again... but somehow weve got to find the strength to keep going and support him through all this... hes 39 and devistated that he will no longer be able to be a fully fit fire fighter anymore.. its been his life.

I know its a lot to ask but please send us some strength across the pond.

Oh V I am so sorry to hear that.  I have not been around much since my comp took a dump, but I have the laptop up and running and if you need me, give me a holla at mysticgaming@comcast.net.  God Bless you and your family and may he Bless you with all the strength that you need.  I know we shared many stories and I know what you are going through (not my hubby of course) but that terrible disease.  I wish I could give you a big hug and cradle you and tell you not to worry God has a plan, but right now I am sure you are confused, scared, angry, and worried.  Just remeber the most important thing hun, It is not, nor ever was your fault, the boys, and you did all that you could do.  Jon is a fighter, we know that and very stubborn.  Just know we are all here for you and always will be.  You are a beautiful, strong, independent woman with two independent and strong boys, go easy on yourself, I know you!  Please use the email if you need too.  Take care and many, many prayers from the Unleashed household.

Thought I would give a quick update as Ive not been online playing much these days...

Jon has now finished work and is spending most of the day watching tv with short bursts of playing offline games like Sims2 on the pc. Im working half days now to spend some time with Jon, both our children are getting councelling at school and are creating books with photos and thoughts in.

At home Jon and I are creating a memory book... not just his memories but mine too... it was a suggestion on Winstons Wish website that all families should make one of these if someone is ill or not... we are writing about our first schools... first memories... fav holidays etc... and if the boys say or do anything funny we are now noting it down.. so we can look back on it as a family and enjoy those moments again.. as many are often forgotten!

Jon is getting a little unsteady on his feet, and is now becoming slightly more forgetful.. not sure if thats down to the tumour or the fact hes nearly 40.. as I too am getting forgetful...not that I'm nearly 40... am 21 with a few years experience too!

We are about to fly off to Lapland on Monday, Jon's old fire crew have raised money and paid for a surpise trip for the family. We are going to be frozen for 5 fun days and meet the real Santa and do things like snowmobile fun and husky sled trips.  Should be a chance to fill our memory books even more!

We would like to thank you for keeping us in your prayers.. am sure its helping as Jon is doing fantastically well and our macmillan nurse is really pleased with him.

So I will finish off by saying have a wonderful Christmas and keep safe everyone!
