TK with AMD?

No way right?  Hold on, not so fast there

So I get bored.  I have been watching AMD for a long time.  With what I have learned and see, plus Kitty has been a very good source of info, AMD is the gamers choice.
What I am running now:
ABIT LGA 775 AG8
P4 530 3.0
XFX 6800 PCIe 256mb
1.2 mb RAM DDR2700 * I will be upgrading to DDR3200
Maxtor DM 10 SATA 7400 200gb HD
BusLink CD/DVDR dual layer

I currently have a MAG monitor 21" 19 viewable.  It was a cheap big ass monitor but I have actually been suprised at it's performance.  It is huge and I will be looking next month at a large flat screen.

As for a flat screen, here is an article still active since June /05 CNET Review - I am sure it is still worthy to note.
I know 6 months later even more inovation for flat monitors have arised.  Any information and expecialy expereince would be greatly appreciated.

Looking at the wide screen area.  Spendy!

A big reason alot of gamers run AMD is heat TK.  Alot of times the stock HSF (heatsink and fan) will be adequate, even with some degree of overclocking.  If I were you, I'd go with a new mobo and cpu, and better ram as well.  The rest looks pretty solid.

always been an AMD fan everyone knows that.

TK You alreay have a PCI-E card don't U. Video that is.

If so i would just do a MOBO and a Ram and CPU upgrade. Would be totally noticable.

tk when ur ready to go widescreen get with me i have long experience with them , ive had 5 widescreen monitors from various vendors, first thing you need to do is forget the hype  and trendy stuff ,not all wsxga are good for gaming ,some are , some are also very gpu intensive , depending on your overall needs it should be relatively easy to find a perfect fit.

may i start off with the advice ...dont even bother with apple cinema hd !...

one other thing i would like to add here ...whether you love amd or intel it doesnt matter, if in fact intel no longer supports the home pc market it is a sad day for all pc users ..even amd fans..because lack of choice is never a good thing, with intel & amd fighting it out you as a customer get a constantly better product, and competitive pricing, as well as the all important choice.

So very true Instinct.  So what is your best choice 19" and 17" for LCD.  I have no want to spend a lot here.  Prices are dropping fast on these things have you noticed?
