my sons 3rd open heart surgery

Well its time again to take the trip to the cities and have my son go through his last open heart surgery. we are very nervouse and hopeing for the best for our little hunter. its going to be hard to see my 2 yr old go through this, but we know it has to be done so we will have him for years to come. his surgery is on the 30th in the morning, we will try to keep everyone informed on our laptop. i hope we have everybodys prayers, he will need all he can get.

Children are the closest thng to heaven on eart.  Innocent and forgiviing.  They have a strength we older kids dont have. 

You certainly have my prayers and the prayers of my prayer group at church.  God grant you strength and Peace and the doctors wisdom.  May His angels surround you and may your son have a full recovery.

Hunter's surgery went really good,they took him down to Post Pre-Op at 7:30a.m on 4-30-2009 to give him medicine to make him sleepy. At 8:44 on 4-30-2009 he entered the OR,it took an hour and a half to prep him and get him hooked up to a arterial line,the actual surgery started at 10:08 a.m. and at 12:03 we got an update they were closing up hunter's chest.
After they were done closing his chest up,they moved him to the PICU,about a half an hour after they moved him,we got to peek in on him for a few minutes,then we left for a while to give them time to get him situated.They took his breathing tube out around 6:30p.m.
Today 5-1-2009,they are hoping to take out his chest tubes,we have to wait and see how xrays look.
Hunter did an amazing job,we are all so proud of our little man,while visiting him,he would try and talk a little, in a sad little wimpering voice he would look at me and say mom,owie or juice.It was heartbreaking because i couldn't hold him or give him anything to drink yet,but we all are so proud of him,he is an amazing and strong little boy.

I gotta tell ya Fasty, it just makes me cry.  But the prayers will still be going up as i will give the report to the kids at church and show them his post op pictures.  All things happen for a reason, i just wish i knew why stuff like this does.  God Bless little Hunter, and whatever it is you have for him, bless him and keep him strong.  Let him grow up and find you, and love you, and give you thanks Lord for all you have done.  In Jesus name.....Amen.
