Getting into PB servers

Here is what you need to do to be able to play in PB enabled servers.  First download pbsetup.  Those of you who played CoD4 will be familiar with it.

Run it and add America's Army Version 3.  Direct it to the appropriate folder.

Deploy Client

x86 (32bit) Windows

Steam Download

Last, click Check for Updates.

if u have the deploy client, PB was included thru the updates.

well thought it was, my AA3 locked up on the PB install thru deploy client. but i cant find the PB folder anywere.

It was included with the Steam version also, but you can't get into PB servers unless you update it with pbsetup.

dont know why they changed it. in AA2's client, u had a PB update section.

OK, I figured out what is happening here.  When you pick the game name from the drop down list in pbsetup, don't choose "America's Army".  Look for "America's Army Version 3".  If you don't have that in your list, you might need to hit check for updates until it shows.  If you just pick "America's Army" like I did, it will install PB for AA2 and give you problems when you try to join PB servers in AA3.  Also, you need to check the box to enable PB located on the server browser.  You can verify you have the proper version by comparing what it says in pbsetup with the list here:

If you think you installed the AA2 PB files into AA3 like I did, just go into the Binaries folder of your AA3 directory and delete the "pb" folder.
