I'm experiencing the same thing right now. It started on the 3rd, when the Nyxem was hitting peeps. I'm getting intermittent packet loss and speed drops. My usual download speed is 6908kbps. It's sometimes dropping to 156kbps. In game servers, I'll be running into a building, see a perp and start shooting him, tho he won't die. Then BAM!, I'm back downstairs, running into a wall, and getting shot. It happens so often that I'm actually a hindrance to my team.

After calling my ISP twice, and multiple modem resets, they are finally sending someone out to my house Monday. It is the most frustrating thing ever, and I wouldn't wish it on any of my gamer friends.

SAME HERE VOODOO except scince last november so i highly doubt the new virus is the cause here, but i am more than a hinderance im a ghost, itry to get in to bf2 but i cant see or react fast enough i lagg so bad i experience the same death 3 times, i tried to shut it all of sound, voice,TS,just leave graphics but no good still laggin, cant hear see where a shot is commin from or turn and aim .

ive had it with all the tech visits modem reboots ip renews,,blah blah .......the prob is not me it is them the upper level 3 knows it but the local office wont declare it , its the local office who control the repair guys instead of sending techs to houses they need to flood them to the hubs and trunks and verify the cables and feeders.

ive had this shit scince we were playin RVS voo, so its 4 solid months of this for me im beyond frustrated and verging on murderous anger, if i see another road runner commercial im gonna pop.

ITS COMMON KNOWLEDGE THAT WHEN YOU ARE DEALING WITH A ROAD RUNNER ITS BEST TO CONTACT THE ACME COMPANY. THEY HAVE AN ENDLESS NUMBER OF PRODUCTS TO AID YOU IN ROAD RUNNER DELEMA. AND THIER DELIVERY TO YOUR LOCATION IS AMAZINGLY FAST. YOU JUST SIGN FOR IT AND AWAY YOU GO. AND WITH EVERY ORDER OVER $100.00 YOU GET YOUR CHOICE OF EITHER A UMBRELLA THAT SAYS "HELP" ON IT. OR A PLATE OF BIRDSEED THAT HAS A SIGN STICKING OUT OF IT THAT SAYS "FREE BIRDSEED" GOOD LUCK ON YOUR ENDEVOR.

Road Runner.... a Time Warner Company...
Time Warner... an AOL company...
Any Questions?

I didn't read all the posts, but I would bring up the argument to the city. If they can't provide adequate lines for the services you pay for, then why should you have to pay taxes for their inadequacies. However one other thing would be to check with AOL members and see if they experience "lag" times at certains times of day. I know they used to have an issue with that even back in the dial-up days, but I haven't cared enough about AOL to investigate it any further.

Just a few random thoughts from a guy who doesn't think too much... hope the issue gets resolved, or you can find a provider with better quality and service.
