This comes on the heals of the worse recession we have had in 50 years.  What the hell is this administration thinking?
Not only does he piss on the fire with the economy by rewarding those that put us here.  He simply pissed on that fire with a stimulus that you and I will never pay off nor will your kids kids kids!

Now he is pouring gas on a fire (Gov't health Care) that he has no idea how it is going to get paid for.  This is unacceptable!  He has not even read what is being put in the bill that he is sponsoring!

I have made my calls and sent my letters to my senator and I will keep doing so - have you?

I support government controlled health care, it is done in many country's and works. What i would like to know about this bill is what is coming pork barreled into it. Wheres the funds coming from, I don't believe any American Rich or Poor should be taxed to pay for it. If it has to be that way make it something that can be taxed across the board. I don't want to be singled out because i have made myself better and make over the amount that i would be taxed so everyone can reap the benefits.


I want them To sit Down and Tell us exactly what is in this bill from start to Finnish, hows its going to be payed for, etc. and so forth. Until then i wouldn't vote for it.

I am not for social health care from this government, not at the least - they messed up Medicare and totally screwed Medicaid.  Social Security is on its way out because Democrats could not keep their hands off of it by adding every fricken illegal alien to the mix and turned it in to a welfare payout.  It was not meant to be that way, its sole purpose was to assist with retirement and loss of head of household due to death/injury.  That is not what it is today.

I am not at all arguing that health care is expensive, but no one is denied health care in this country - No one.  If a change needs to be made, it has to come from the private sector with a watch dog committee as we have for other commercial services.  Gouging is happening everyday with the Pharmacies and medical companies - that is what needs to be curtailed.  Not that they cannot make a profit, they just need to set funds aside for those that cannot pay or are in a lower class of income - they need to do this not the Gov't. The gov't role would simply be to enforce this as they should!  Not to take it over as in Obama's plan which sucks!
At this point in time - I honestly think this man is on a train wreck that will not be pretty.  I am not rooting for that to happen, I could actually like this guy if he had come from a different past.  His history is so shakey, I cannot believe America voted him in.  Did I hear ACORN somewhere in this post?  Prolly not.

My point exactly TK the Medical profession is corrupt. They gouge the hell out of people, and your right your not denied health care because of inability to pay, but  if u do get sub standard care and when u don't pay it the RUINS your credit and then there goes everything, in this day and age without credit u can't buy a house, car, college education any of the things necessary to have a decent life in this country but the health care company's aren't going to do this willingly your going to have to make them do it. And that means either taking it over, or making another oversight comity (which in itself will have to be funded somewhere somehow) to overlook the companies, at which is my next point is this If it is comity overseen the health care company's will just pay off the people who is supposed to be watching over it (People can  and will be bought) Just like the congressmen and women in this country are today. Bought to lobby for or against a bill.


 U won't keep that from happening unless u get rid of lobbying all together (which i am all for BTW)

It would be cheaper to use these funds that are currently being wasted on the medicare/caid to fund clinics and hospital emergency rooms. Instead of providing heath care premiums and a lot of government regulations. Fund clinics that can be ued by those iwth no insurance which n many cases are already n place . I also agree on soem kinda tort reform to stop people from frivilous lawsuits..if it can be done in po-dunk mississippi it can be done elsewhere. .

I would also like to see medicare and other programs cleared up before we do all this.

That is something I did not consider.  This can be dealt with and should.  If the gov't has bank examiners why can they expand that to the medical industry and any necessary industry of the like.  This profiteering is absolutely out of hand and has been since the 60's.

Absolutely!  I mean Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid need fixed long before we gear up for some sort of reform - OMG, we can't even do that! (Straighten up our other medical issues first!  Like you say Eve).  Very good post.

I have been the victim of the "NO HEALTH CARE" mess and the ruin that comes from medical bills. It took me 4 years after I got out of the service to get health care. Why, becuase I WAS WORKING. I could get the medical for my child but not for me.  Then I got a job with health care and that job went away. So I was back to the same mess. Working two part time jobs each at 32 hours a week but could not get help with heath care for myself because I was working and paying into the system that I was asking for help. So my credit went through the floor becuase of medical bills that I could not afford to pay. As soon as they find out that you do not have medical, they treat and street you. They make sure you will not die in the very near future and then kick you to the curb with perscriptions that they know you cannot afford.

The entire system is hosed. Right now it is designed to help those that do not work instead of helping those who are busting their butts and need some help, or those who CANNOT work and desperately need the help. Something has to be done accross the board but the way they are looking at it just wont work in the current state of the economy. My union contract is up in December. I am afraid of what I am going to have to pay into my health care after the end of the year vs what my pay increase will be.  I am thinking that my take home is going to go down and that means job #3.

Oboo-boo needs to realize that the working class people of this country put him in that office. He needs to focus on the working class instead of the people living high on the hog.

It's also about votes. Grow the people dependent on the government and that segment will vote for the government.   As bad as this Obama-nation is, the people that wont take responsibility for themselves and just want to sponge off the government are the true problem here. Of course,  I don't mind helping people that help themselves.

If everyone could go to another country and see the heath care provided there, this whole thing would go away and we would have a changing of the status quo in Washington.

    They need to sit down with the dr's and say look this is what the procedure cost U to do it. And this is how much U can Charge. Now Every business has bills to pay,  insurance, staff, supplies ect. so we take that into account. every thing has a price on it. Just like wal mart NOT A JACKED UP PRICE. Say you go to ER to have stitches.

 This is just for one patient for those thinking man $137.50 isn't much money to make but man i would take that for half an hours work. Plus most clinics see approx. 10 people say in an hour man thats $1375.00 an Hour. I can run a business and live well on that.

  um when's the last time u went to wallyworld again??? eversince K-mart closed its doors.(there competition here in texas) me and the wife cringe even if we think about haveing to stop there.I was making $12 an hour 20 years ago. guess what im making now? yup u got it $12 an hr.

 $30 buck's back then fed our family of 4 for a week. if we leave wallyworld without spending $120 now for a family of 3 we feel lucky. thats 25% of my weekly pay. 25%!!!! after unreal utility bill's,ele,water, GAS.....oh and the house payment(that we have to redo every so often just to get caught up and catch a breath)we aint got crap left.

 can we even think of watchen a new movie?travel abit?buy a new TV? afford medical?buy a new car thats not 10 years old? ect.....u know, the thing's that help stimulate our screwed up economy?has any1 noticed the price of food these days? not a word is bieng said about it?there as bad or worse then any1 else. 25% of my pay for the cheapest crap we can find?

 minimum wage will soon catch allot of us worken stiff's,hell i'll be able to flip burgers for a liven instead of killen myself in a sweatshop soon.(if i can afford to keep my house in the future) sorry but wallyworld is the perfect example of a company guagen the hell out of the worken stiff.

 my wife is on medicare, medicaide,& SS. she gets a whopping $500 a month. we dont bitch about not getting foodstamps or other help like ALOT of people do. what is it $200-$250 per child a month added to most peep's SS check?(wife is not a minority,dissallowed.) lazyazz peep's that go in and buy a ton of food with stamps & DRIVE BRAND NEW CARS??? it makes me and the wife sick everytime we see this.

 oh there is a ton of BS i could still bitch about, but im tierd of just bitchen about our screwed up government/country.
