according to the release notes for catalyst 10.4 (release 4/28/10), the issues are fixed for the long load times on the BF:BC2 maps for us HD5xxx users....

"Battlefield 2: Bad Company" maps no longer takes unusually long to load for ATI
Radeon™ HD 5000 Series

downloading now to see if it works...

meh it didn't appear to make much difference... maybe 15-20 seconds faster, but then it is just slower before i can actually click on things to get in the game...

think maybe it's because of the dual-core and only 2gb ram...

man i totally noticed a difference. Way faster load times on my machine. but i been using the leaked version of 10.4 for a while.

lol to tell the truth wild i think they get perposly relased early for some real world testing but just don't tell anyone that. LOL so they get called leaked. LOL
