Dear Mayor Villaraigosa,
I was dismayed to learn that the Los Angeles City Council voted to boycott Arizona and Arizona-based companies — a vote you strongly supported — to show opposition to SB 1070 (Support our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act).
You explained your support of the boycott as follows: “While we recognize that as neighbors, we share resources and ties with the State of Arizona that may be difficult to sever, our goal is not to hurt the local economy of Los Angeles, but to impact the economy of Arizona.  Our intent is to use our dollars — or the withholding of our dollars — to send a message.” (emphasis added)
I received your message; please receive mine.  As a state-wide elected member of the Arizona Corporation Commission overseeing Arizona’s electric and water utilities, I too am keenly aware of the “resources and ties” we share with the City of Los Angeles. In fact, approximately twenty-five percent of the electricity consumed in Los Angeles is generated by power plants in Arizona.
If an economic boycott is truly what you desire, I will be happy to encourage Arizona utilities to renegotiate your power agreements so Los Angeles no longer receives any power from Arizona-based generation. I am confident that Arizona’s utilities would be happy to take those electrons off your hands. If, however, you find that the City Council lacks the strength of its convictions to turn off the lights in Los Angeles and boycott Arizona power, please reconsider the wisdom of attempting to harm Arizona’s economy.
People of goodwill can disagree over the merits of SB 1070. A state-wide economic boycott of Arizona is not a message sent in goodwill.

Hell yes, just because AZ created a law that states it is illegal to be here illegally, the left seem to think for some reason that is not legal.    , I am trying to figure their way of thinking.
Now Obama, Pelosi, Napolitano - oh-oh and get this Eric Holder --> They all are overly critical of the AZ bill and have slammed and made absolutely stupid statements against this bill.  They all admit they have not even read it, just like every bill THEY create or support - They don't read it.
I am thinking they need to take a reading class!

Get this, the WH has denied Obama said this yet no one else was in the room.  I would prefer the great Liar in Chief himself come out and call this man a liar instead of his cronies doing it for him.

This is illegal and it is a clear and present danger to all Americans (Not talking about the border here) simply because Obama is holding all Americans hostage for his own agenda.

So tell me now, how is it that a lot of people were so stupid as to vote for this man when all the warnings were issued.  It is simply ignorance and uneducated voting.

BB, it will end when people educate themselves on the issues and who is running for office.  I really can't blame the populace for their ignorance, the media knew what they had here and did not report except for Fox News which all other media slams.  

Funny how all the other media cannot hold a candle to what Fox reports. I think this is why the ignorance. Now the other media outlets are failing in the viewer polls because a lot of Americans are now wanting the truth.
Don't get me wrong here, you have to see both sides.  CNN did a pretty good job but like other media, they did not report on how and who vetted this man. MSNBC is in bed with this regime via GE.  Are ya serious?!

Seriously, would you actually vote for a person with absolute strong ties to people that bombed government buildings (Ayers), who was majorly influenced by the Islamic faith (dad, mom, half his family who is Muslim) or who sits in a pew for 20+ years and listens to some anti-American idiot (Wright) spilling his guts on how terribly bad America is (Goddamn America). How government has changed what is being taught in schools - entire events removed to accommodate a progressive agenda (for instance, can anyone here tell me about the depression of 1920-21? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depression_of_1920%E2%80%9321 )

That is only a sample of the facts found and not reported on.  What was America thinking?  This is not about black or white like the media wants you to believe.  It is a hostile take over by those that want to push THEIR agenda on America and it is called the Obama machine.

Republicans are as much to blame here, they too have let a lot of Americans down with the same greed enjoyed by the Democrats.  I am not a big tea party fanatic but that movement is what is needed and I will support them.

IMHO that would be like wiping ones ass with the constitution that we must hold dear.

On the other hand, if what I hope you are saying is give us some one to vote for?  Like the last election we had no real choice.  McCain?  Sorry, he was not one I appreciated coming from the republican party - that pissed me off.  McCain is a politician, Hillary is the same (ya think?) so even then we had no choice. Obama was a lot of peoples wet dream and people are starting to notice.

Please do not persuede others not to vote.  It does matter!  Otherwise we will end up with a Chavez who will take over everything

Civic duty.  You must vote.  It is the only thing they fear.(polititians)  I made a descision some time ago the NEVER vote for the incumbant again.  If we turn em over enough times, they will have to take notice.  That:however, requires the short term memory crowd to pay attn for a while.  A tough thing in today's America.

Eve, you are right on here.  Supreme courts are now being filled with socialist judges, Congress has no value any longer since Obama has the executive order pen ready to write any new law he wants. (such as the illegal alien amnesty law - It can and will happen unless we start to stand up to this gawdawful mess we are in)
They will win every time with their agenda as there is no way to stop them....Unless we take the congress back and give it to the people.

I had hoped that was where you were going.  Thank you Wild.  Yes, we need the right people running for office.  Not someone thrown at us for any particular agenda. And certainly not a career politician, those days are now numbered.
Yep, that bite is nasty and here in Oregon we have a big old bite taken right out of our asses.
Instead of cutting cost (not only here in Oregon) our state government will rely on the "Stimulus" to save...Now get this.... the government.  
Hmmm, we need to save a reckless government from failing - gosh if we don't save them right now how can they continue to be reckless! This is how our Federal government is operating as well as state governments. WTF!

I am not for a stimulus, a health care package, a jobs package nor any other type of government spending (I am not talking about the 'common sense' spending such as police, fire, parts of Education, Military...) that 'bails out' the fools that did not set contingencies. Failure is a way of life.  We learn from it and come back better prepared.  But not if we 'bail' out every corporation, bank and government! Hell, why should they use common sense when big brother will save the day...at your expense!


This is liberal thinking and it must stop.  3rd place is not as good as 1st place so get used to it!  Stop making trophies for 4th place and raising those who lose to a higher level so they do not strive to achieve that higher level.
Sorry if I offend anyone but we all should be concerned here. Lose the political correctness bullchit and call a spade a spade, a terrorist a terrorist and you may see a better future here in America.
