Just logged in first time for a month or so.  Noticed right off that my main character had a "not ready" symbol next to the name.  Clicking on it I could see that you can change to ready or not ready.  Why?  Also, What is Embark Beach.  When I logged in I was at the Wilds,  seen a character with the green ! and talked to him.  Said I needed to go to Embark Beach.  So i did and it looks like some kind of Mission or Mercenary Isle where you can travel to diff places and help out with things.  What is this and is it new??

Looks like I need to play a lil more often and keep up on things.  But if I only ad the time.  LOL

well welcome back..  yeah, Embark beach was a recent update.  You are able to pick up some zaishen quests, as well as the recently added zaishen vanquish.    http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Embark_Beach

as for the ready status.  this is just a new feature allowing you to inform the rest of the party that you are ready.  Its better than saying "1" all the time.

also, if you havent noticed, you now have the ability to add more than 4 heros.

LOL...ok.. why would you say "1" all the time. I am missing something obviously.  And no I did not notice the hero thing, mainly cuz I only have three heroes right now.  Man I gotta start playing more and summer is coming...what to do??

Actually i need to get rid of some stuff.  Tonics, candy cane shards, fruitcakes.. I never use that stuff.  Plus I have no idea what to keep anyway...LOL
