What games does MEOW play most?

I have never tried AA3 yet but I got Arma2 a while back because I loved the Domination games of Arma, are you guys playing any campaigns like that?

Don't know if any of you remember my friend Pirate from TubettiWorld DF2 days, he and I played a lot of Domination with Arma and he finally got Arma2 and I think he is looking for a place to play.

We liked the Domination campaigns mainly because of the teamwork involved in taking town after town, and the side missions were cool.

I played engineer one night for a few hours and never fired a shot, it was my job to find and fix our damaged assets, and then send them to the front lines, it was so cool to be working so hard at the logistics of it, keeping the front line stocked with munitions, tanks, and helos, if I didn't do my job then they couldn't do theirs :)

Pirate and I would both love to find a good Domination campaign in Arma2.


Is MEOW running any servers for AA3 or Arma2?

Wow, there's an old name.  Currently Bad Company 2 and Guild Wars.  Waiting for Battlefield 3 and Guild Wars 2.  Not running any servers.

I play Domination in both arma and arma2, Juggie used to play but I dont think he does any more. So I am playing by myself. I love the flying, tanks and sniping.  Im most cases i play long enough in arma 2 to destroy a tower or two.

NighEve, any particular server or do you just host your own when you play?

I saw a topic in your Arma2 section about the ACE addons, is that a current/complete list?

I have some of the ACE addons but not sure if I have them all, I think a lot of it was beta and not all finished at the time I got the game.

It's probably not current nor complete, but its what we (or I) play with. So if you have those we should be compatible.  I have a server on another machine for arma1 but usually host/play on arma2.  Problem is this week it will be difficult to get time to play, I wil be having company. But we need to get a game going, allways better to have help. Maybe we can get another or two to play.

most of us either play Bad company 2 or guild wars. that is untill battlefield 3 comes out.

well let me throw in my 2 cents on this one... The Major told me that some old friends my be playing ARMA2 I game which I enjoy..usually play on the TAW or CAV7 servers.. and would love to shot at some old friends again..

Pirate!!!  you made it in, I was just coming here to tell them you were having problems getting signed up with the forums.

About Project Theta, I don't remember if we ever told anyone that we played as Project Theta and Project Xi did we???

Those were our DF2 alter-ego's, we used to like to go into an S&D game with those names and satchel all the targets before blowing any, then post in chat "welcome to the Projects" and then simultaneously blow all of our satchels and end the round =)~

As soon as my company leaves I will try to set up a Arma 1 server with Domination. The number of people will be limited.  Not sure how many it will hold or if it will hold at all.  We can try. I will post the versions and updates first of next week.  If that don't work maybe we can get a game of arma 2 going.

Which do you guys prefer? Arma1 or Arma2?

I haven't got to play a good Domination game in Arma2 yet so I cannot comment with any authority on which might be better, but I can say that the terrain I tried Domination on in Arma2 had ZERO cover compared to the forested terrains of Arma1, I had a horrible time trying to get within striking distance of a side mission without being obliterated.

I am hoping that Domination is better now than when I first tried it in Arma2.

I don't have Arma1 installed :(

My nephew and I used to be able to take out a side mission target in Arma1 with just the two of us even though it would take a while, but the map I tried in Arma2 we never got close to succeeding.

LOL I have started a server in arma1 and left it up a few days to get one or two cities cleared. Of course I would get he towers first. LOL 

And I agree about the difficulty in arma2 to find cover. The best time i had was the coastal cities and getting a spawn point in a building on one. 

So arma 2 it is.
