i have a 3rd dell pc here at the house that i would like to hook to my network and somehow use it as a drone if thats possible?, by drone i mean slave like the ability to download files to its hdd and send files for storage and retreval to it?.

as well as tap its functions like tv tuner  via vga ..

anyone have any thoughts on how to go about this ?

what interface is needed ethernet?,usb?

Instinct get with me.  I have 3 on my network.  One is a laptop, my gamer and a 3rd is for files, back up and so on.  Tammys laptop and my gamer are capable of moving and storing files directly to that "file server" as we call it.  I can host a lan, Team Speak and so on.  You really do not need a monitor for it but it helps with set up.  Just share which folders you want to share, your good to go.  As with any computer on a network, just like your gamer, you need to run AV and firewall.  With a router, you can make it local (LAN Local Area Network) or internet (WAN Wide Area)
