These new physics cards are the next thing to come along.  This Ageia company has the first one.  When I first read about them people were saying they expected them to be in PCIE-x4 or PCIE-x1 format, though this one looks like plain PCI from the picture of it.  Supposedly they take some of the load off your GPU allowing you to run things with more effects.  There's a comparison demo on the second link, click the pictures to play the video.

pricey for untested technology.

guess ill do a wait n see approach, wait for some price drops, back to school sales perhaps.
